Epstein acquired a more modest island - the Little St James - back in 1998, but later purchased the more expansive adjacent island in the year 2016 for approximately $22.5 million.
The released images indicate he had created ambitious plans to build upon the substantial island by building residences, an open-air theater, an submerged workspace and a reservoir.
